About us

Little Jesters for pre-school education

Little Jesters Pre-school is proudly run by a voluntary committee made up of dedicated staff, parents, and local community members. As a registered charity, we are committed to providing every child with high-quality early years care and education.

Our setting offers a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to grow, learn, and thrive at their own pace.

Our curriculum

Early Years Foundation Stage

At Little Jesters Pre-school, we believe the best learning happens through play. Our carefully planned sessions offer a wide range of fun, creative and engaging activities that spark curiosity and support each child’s development. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, as required by law for all early years settings. This ensures that every child benefits from a high standard of learning, care, and personal growth during their time with us.

A unique child

Every child is an individual, constantly learning and capable of being resilient, confident and self-assured. Practitioners recognise each child’s interests, culture and stage of development to tailor support accordingly.

Positive relationships

Children become strong and independent when they feel secure, valued and trusted. Warm, responsive relationships with staff, parents and peers build the emotional-social base that underpins all learning.

Enabling environments

Thoughtfully planned spaces offer rich, open-ended experiences. When the environment responds to children’s needs and interests and adults scaffold play, learning deepens. Family partnership is part of that environment too.

Learning & development

Children develop and learn at different rates across the seven areas of learning. The EYFS framework guides practitioners to provide balanced, play-based opportunities and to adapt for SEND so every child can flourish.
